The Group was formed as the result of the merger of a number of privately owned companies dating back to 1914. The Group is an independent company which is wholly-owned by its directors with a vested interest in their clients needs. We are of a size that is able to offer both a personal service, and provide the professional expertise necessary to identify the risks to which our clients are exposed in a diverse field of industrial and commercial businesses and to have the knowledge of the policy terms and conditions available within the UK insurance market to meet their needs.

The Group was an independent registered insurance brokerage, prior to the relevant act being repealed and are members of the new Institute of Insurance Brokers Registration Council. In addition, the Group is a member of the British Insurance Brokers Association, The Institute of Insurance Brokers, and the Independent Financial Advisors Association.

The requirements of the regulatory bodies to which we belong set out the parameters under which an insurance broker and independent financial adviser should act, putting the clients requirements first and foremost. We are also obliged to have professional indemnity insurance and our client’s money has to be held in a specifically designated non-statutory trust account.

The Group is also one of the market leaders in the U.K. for a liability only boat scheme, trading in the name of Basic Boat Liability Company, underwritten by Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance plc.
